Why do we use coffee grounds in your cosmetics?

Natural exfoliating effect from coffee grounds

The fine particles of coffee grounds act as a gentle yet effective exfoliant. They remove dead skin cells and stimulate cell renewal. The result is smooth, soft, and radiantly fresh skin.

Caffeine promotes blood circulation and tightens the skin.

The caffeine in coffee (6 mg/g) stimulates blood circulation, which can make the skin appear firmer and more vibrant. It supports microcirculation, thus improving the supply of nutrients to the skin. This provides an invigorating boost of freshness with every use.

Promotes antioxidant effects

Coffee is rich in antioxidants, the so-called free radicals. combat them. These tiny particles are created, for example, by stress, UV radiation, or environmental pollution and can damage our skin cells. The antioxidants in coffee grounds neutralize these free radicals and thus protect the skin from premature aging. As a result, the skin appears fresher, healthier, and more radiant.

Coffee neutralizes odors.

Coffee grounds possess natural odor-binding properties. When incorporated into soap or deodorant cream, they help to gently neutralize unpleasant odors such as those from garlic, onions, or smoke. This leaves the skin pleasantly fresh and clean-smelling after washing.

Shea butter

How does shea butter work?

Shea butter is cold-pressed from the nuts of the shea tree and is rich in natural nutrients. Its moisturizing and regenerative properties make it particularly beneficial for dry, sensitive, and demanding skin. It can also provide relief for strained muscles, joints, and the back.

The antioxidants it contains, such as vitamin E, beta-carotene, and omega-3 fatty acids, protect the skin from free radicals and thus support the skin's natural barrier. This gently combats the signs of aging, and wrinkles or stretch marks can be visibly improved. The result: supple, soft, and intensely nourished skin.

almond oil

How does almond oil work?

Almond oil is valued in naturopathy for its versatile nourishing properties. In a deodorant cream, it serves as a gentle, natural base that protects and intensively nourishes the skin. Its essential fatty acids provide moisture and help keep dry or stressed underarm skin supple. This is ideal, as many deodorants tend to be drying.

Thanks to vitamin E and valuable antioxidants, almond oil supports skin health and has a soothing effect. Therefore, it is also suitable for sensitive skin, redness, or minor irritations.

coconut oil

How does coconut oil work?

Coconut oil has long been known for its versatile skincare properties and is particularly valued in natural cosmetics. In a deodorant cream, it contributes to skin health in several ways. Its natural fatty acids provide the skin with intensive moisture, keeping it soft and supple. Ideal for the sensitive underarm area.

Due to its mild antibacterial properties, coconut oil can also help reduce odor-causing bacteria and thus support natural freshness. At the same time, it has a soothing effect and can gently alleviate minor irritations, redness, or chafing.

Coconut oil not only provides care, but also a pleasant, fresh feeling on the skin.

Upcycled coffee oil

How does coffee oil work?

Coffee oil made from upcycled coffee grounds is a particularly sustainable ingredient that combines valuable skincare with environmental awareness. The oil is extracted from previously used coffee grounds and is packed with natural antioxidants and nourishing plant compounds.

In a deodorant cream, coffee oil can keep skin supple while protecting it from everyday environmental stressors. The antioxidants it contains support skin regeneration, while the mildly stimulating properties of coffee oil provide a fresh, revitalized feeling.

Furthermore, coffee oil has a pleasantly smoothing effect and can make the underarm skin appear soft and cared for. Its natural ability to reduce unpleasant odors is particularly valuable. Coffee oil can bind odor molecules and thus gently contribute to a fresh feeling under the arms without disrupting the natural perspiration process.

Thanks to its sustainable sourcing, it not only contributes to skincare but also to waste reduction. A win-win for both skin and the environment.

Cornstarch

How does cornstarch work?

Cornstarch is a particularly mild, natural powder that provides a pleasantly dry feeling on the skin when used in deodorant creams. It absorbs excess moisture without drying out or irritating the skin, making it ideal for sensitive underarm skin.

Furthermore, cornstarch has a soothing effect on friction, gives the deodorant cream a pleasantly creamy texture, and leaves the skin feeling soft and cared for. It supports the nourishing effect of other ingredients and contributes to overall comfortable wear.

Baking soda

How does baking soda work?

Baking soda is a tried-and-tested natural ingredient in deodorant creams and is particularly valued for its odor-neutralizing properties. It works by slightly altering the pH level under the arms, thereby reducing the ideal breeding ground for odor-causing bacteria. In this way, baking soda prevents unpleasant odors without blocking the natural perspiration process.

At the same time, baking soda provides a fresh feeling throughout the day, completely without harsh ingredients. This makes it ideal for gentle, natural deodorant products.
